A Legacy of Visual Storytelling
Family-run since 1989 — and rooted in creativity for over a century.
Our story begins long before ECP Video was founded. Photography runs deep in our family, starting with Eric Charles Paine — a pharmacist and wartime medic who became a respected local photographer in the 1920s. His son, John, expanded the business into a camera shop and built one of the UK’s first colour processing labs.
Following in their footsteps, Tim Paine launched the video production arm in the early ’80s — laying the foundations for what would become ECP Video Ltd in 1989, co-founded with wife Mandy. From pop promos to roadshows, the business quickly grew with a reputation for quality, adaptability, and trusted relationships.
Today, the next generation — George and JJ — continue the family tradition. With a film degree, photographic talent, and a shared passion for the craft, they carry forward a century of visual expertise using cutting-edge technology, all while staying grounded in the timeless skills of great storytelling, camera work, and editing.
At ECP, we’re proud of where we’ve come from — and even more excited about where we’re headed.
